Watermill Lane Residential Scheme

A 25m urban regeneration residential scheme for the Origin Housing Group close to the North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton, North London. The Scheme proposes a total of 220 units, incorporating units for hospital key workers, houses and flats for general needs and shared ownership, as well as an on-site office for Origin Housing Group. The scheme represents a very contemporary solution providing architecturally exciting housing for key-workers further sculpted by an integrated landscape proposal. The heart of the scheme favours strong community ties, promoting the idea of an urban village and thus part of an overall masterplan, key features like squares play a major role. The project is an opportunity to show our expertise in delivering a complex project involving decanting, phased over several years, involving a high level of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) techniques. As a flagship scheme, sustainable design practices such as renewable energy to generate 20% of the total site energy demands, green roofs and landscaping strategies. Key features of the design are:
